Advocacy in Every Direction
Moving beyond only top down advocacy, but learning how we can self-advocate or manage-up and take control of our own careers. Advocacy as a verb, how people in positions of power can leverage their access to amplify the voices and ideas of those not in the room. Champion their promotion, professional development, etc.
DEI in Recruitment
Weave DEI into your hiring process from the beginning. We’ll help you identify both internal and external challenges around DEI in recruitment, and provide recommendations on how to resolve them. Participants leave with a deeper understanding of what can be done to advance matters of diversity, equity, and inclusion while recruiting and sharing best practices for employees.
Emotional Intelligence
Learning what it is and why it’s important. Develop self-awareness by leaning into your strengths and identifying opportunities for improvement. Leverage your EQ to advance your personal performance and bolster interpersonal relationships. Build your empathy muscle and communication skills as you become cognizant of intention vs impact and their effects on your work relationships.
Cultural Competency
Learn why being able to engage and adapt across cultures is intrinsic to building a successfully inclusive work environment. Move beyond the acknowledgment of cultural differences to respecting a multiplicity of worldviews and their contributions to building vibrant work and client relationships.
DEI Fundamentals
The goal of this session is to provide a safe space for team members to build a shared understanding and language around Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion which is foundational to accomplishing organizational DEI goals. Employees will feel better equipped to discuss how they can individually integrate DEI into their working relationships.
Forums & Focus Groups
We’ve also moderated focus groups for our clients where employees of specific groups (Women, LGBTQ+, etc.) come together to share their experiences at their organization. This is a good opportunity for their colleagues to gain an awareness of their experience and a catalyst for change, programming etc.
Talking to Your Kids About Race
The topics of race, discrimination, and equity will, no doubt, arise at some point during your child's most formative years. As parents, it is important to get in front of these occurrences by shaping your child's perspective of the diverse world around them. We all play a part in making our world as inclusive and fair as possible, by raising children who possess integrity, character, and empathy; in households where differences are celebrated.
