Strategies for Leading through COVID-19
Holistic has been conducting office hours/leadership workshops with our clients to discuss strategies for leading through COVID-19 and the accompanying quarantine. In these sessions, we cover three essential elements:
Attach your oxygen mask first: how leaders can take care of their own needs and well-being so they are best suited to help others.
Common challenges in leadership and communication: we'll explore commonly surfaced challenges/issues that are being surfaced by employees all around and the best practices being used to combat them.
What is going to permanently change?: finally, we'll spend some time thinking about how the changes, advancements, improvements and adjustments being made right now will persist and fundamentally improve the work experience when things return to (the new) normal.
The session structure begins with an open discussion in which we'll solicit questions, feedback, issues and general feeling. Then, we'll lead a structured discussion to outline best practices around the three above-mentioned areas, before concluding with a brief discussion on next steps and immediate action items.
The appropriate audience for this is really one of three groups: (1) senior leadership, (2) next-level/middle managers, or (3) specific departments. Holistic is offering these sessions free as a courtesy to assist organizations during this time and as a way of building relationships and supporting partners.
